Alongside the many, many villains of the DC Universe, Gorilla Grodd perhaps occupies the most fascinating ecological niche of all, existing as he does as a legendary foe of not just one species, but two. Yet despite his frequent clashes with the likes of the Flash and his own Gorilla City, this abominable ape has actually performed a great service to both his people, and the world beyond. A service that he is not even consciously aware he is performing.
