Marvel's Uncanny Spider-Man series spun out of the events of the X-Men's "Fall of X" and has focused on the fan-favorite mutant Nightcrawler (aka Kurt Wagner) as he attempts to recover and make sense of everything that has happened around him. The series has seen the blue-furred teleporting X-Men veteran not only take on a whole new persona but return to his more fun-loving, swashbuckling personality as he relocates to New York City and reconnects with his old friend, Spider-Man. While the series has been a fun departure from some of the more dismal happenings in the world of the X-Men, it has also led to more serious beats, such as the revelation of Nightcrawler's true origin and the introduction of a new love interest for the flirtatious mutant.
