As Season 2 of Invincible kicks off, Mark Grayson is still stuck in the past. He can't help but be mentally scarred by Nolan's (J.K. Simmons) tyrannical ways and the fight that almost left Mark dead. However, Mark does want to keep working for Cecil and the Global Defense Agency. Part of it is to keep himself distracted. Another part of it is Mark wanting to show the world he won't be like his father.
