Christmastime is here, which can mean only one thing: action-packed adventures with Santa Claus and Batman! This month, DC Comics is rolling out a special holiday-themed, 4-issue weekly series from writer Jeff Parker and artist Michele Bandini. The series will see the Dark Knight and Father Christmas teaming up to end a supernatural threat in Gotham City. This is not the familiar jolly old elf but a rough-and-tumble monster hunter and protector of the innocent. This first issue is a fun romp through Gotham that knows that it is high concept, silly fun, but manages to mostly play it straight and fold Santa into the grim world of Gotham. Jeff Parker is one of the best at mixing lighthearted action with genuine emotion and excitement, and this issue promises plenty of unpredictable fun.
