In retro news, I'm celebrating the 22nd birthday of Super Smash Bros. Melee, a GameCube great that really knocked it out of the park with a Home-Run Bat. Having played the control stick out of the OG on N64 with my mates, I remember being blown away by Melee's increase in free-form movement, responsiveness, character roster, and head nods to other Ninty IPs. I love that this is still lauded in the SSB competitive scene.
