The biggest sporting event of the year is almost here... The day when Team Ruff and Team Fluff take to the field and go paw-to-paw to see who takes home the Lombarky trophy in the Puppy Bowl. Alongside being a big anniversary celebration for the event (celebrating 20 years!) this year has quite the lineup as well, as "131 puppy players from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories," are showing up to compete, per Discovery's website. It's sure to be an incredible event, and hopefully one that provides plenty of forever homes to these pups.
If you, like many of us here at IGN, can't wait to catch this competition, we've detailed where you can watch the big event below. Not only that, but we have additional details on the event itself and why it's an important one to check out.

When is Puppy Bowl 2024?
The Puppy Bowl is set to air on Sunday, February 11 at 2pm ET/11am PT with a pre-show at 1pm ET/10am PT. Watching it is a great way to spend the afternoon, and you'll even have time when it ends to make up some tasty snacks before Super Bowl 58 officially kicks off at 6:30pm ET/3:30 pm PT.
What is The Puppy Bowl?
There's far more to the Puppy Bowl than just watching these adorable animals competing to win the Lombarky trophy. It's actually an event that aims to highlight the importance of adoption. Alongside the puppy players, there are a variety of Adoptable Pup segments (with a few kittens included) that will be shown throughout the show and will feature adoptable pets from 14 shelters and rescues across the country.
More importantly, Warner Bros. Discovery has teamed up with Best Friends Animal Society this year in honor of the event's 20th anniversary to make their own contribution. From February 7-14, they will "match donations to cover adoption fees for Best Friends Animal Society's lifesaving centers nationwide," per Discovery. If you've been hoping to adopt a furry friend of your own, there's no better time to do so. You can learn more on Discovery's website here.
Tune in to the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, February 11 at 2pm ET/11am PT to show some love to these pups as they take the field (and check out the excellent gallery of puppy players here). It's a great cause to support and an equally great event to watch. And who knows, maybe one of these pups will steal your heart!
