Dune: Part 2 Home Entertainment Release Dates Revealed

Dune: Part Two may be extending its IMAX run, but that doesn't mean Warner Bros. is going to hold off on bringing Denis Villeneuve’s sequel into homes.

The studio announced today Dune: Part Two's home entertainment release dates, with the blockbuster available for digital ownership and rental on April 16. Early digital ownership will cost you $29.99, while a 48-hour rental via PVOD will go for $24.99. This option will be available on Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home, and more.

If you want to hold out for the physical release, Dune: Part Two will become available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 14. The 4K UHD and Blu-ray will also come with the following special features:

  • Chakobsa Training
  • Creating the Fremen World
  • Finding the Worlds of Dune
  • Buzz Around the New “Thopter”
  • Worm-Riding
  • Becoming Feyd
  • A New Set of Threads
  • Deeper into the Desert: The Sounds of the Dune

The "premium digital ownership" option will also include the above special features, in addition to the following ones as well:

As Warner Bros. points out in today's announcement, Dune: Part Two is the highest-grossing movie of 2024 so far, taking in $665 million worldwide. In the wake of its success, it's been confirmed that Villeneuve’s third Dune movie is officially in the works.

Dune: Part Two has been a hit with critics as well, with IGN's Tom Jorgensen's writing in his 8/10 review, "Featuring absolutely staggering visuals, Dune: Part Two is an arresting, transportive middle entry in Denis Villeneuve’s tricky sci-fi saga."
