Outer Wilds’ promotional materials vastly undersell what makes it so special: the impact of its profound core mechanics, its gut-wrenching breadcrumb-like plot developments, and letting you twirl the physical principles that hold our universe together. As if that wasn’t enough, it packs in so many themes and emotions, at times evoking a sense of discovery, joy, sorrow, and horror. It’s got it all, plus great banjo tunes!
