Sometimes, video games can be bad. Statistically speaking, with the sheer number of games that are released every year, not all of them are going to be winners. Whether it was a lack of polish, poor gameplay design, or unsavory monetization practices, bad games can be bad for a variety of reasons. Once word of mouth takes off on a bad game, it’s usually very difficult for it to shed it's less than stellar reputation.
