Roughly a year after announcing a price increase for some of its subscription services, Apple has once again announced price increases for several of its products, including Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.
As spotted by MacRumors, Apple is raising the price for its subscription services across the globe, including in the United States. Apple TV+, which was $6.99, will now cost $9.99 a month. Apple Arcade will cost $6.99 per month — $2 more than its previous price. Apple News+ is also impacted by the price hike, costing $3 more for a monthly fee of $12.99.
Along with price increases for each service, the price of Apple One, a bundle that includes access to different Apple services, such as Apple TV+ and Apple News+ depending on the tier you subscribe to, has gone up. Each of the three Apple One tiers will see a price increase, which you can check out below.
- Individual (Includes access to iCloud+ (50GB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade)
- $16.95 per month, previously $19.95 per month
- Family (Includes access to iCloud+ (200GB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade)
- $22.95 per month, previously $25.95 per month
- Premier (Includes access to iCloud+ (2TB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and Apple News+)
- $32.95 per month, previously $37.95 per month
The price hikes are noteworthy as it is the first time the iPhone maker has increased the prices for Apple News+ and Apple Arcade after the company introduced both services in 2019.
In our 2023 review of Apple TV+, we said: "Though Apple TV+ programming is some of the most consistent and well-made out there, the lack of back catalog and limited selection mean that the stream doesn't stack up against its competitors."
Apple TV+ joins a slew of other streaming services that recently hiked their price, including Disney+ and Netflix. Be sure to check out our roundup to see what other streaming services got a bit more pricey.
