The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the first film which introduced some of the factions foreign to Middle-Earth which are allied with Sauron. As Sam and Frodo were led to The Black Gates of Mordor a contingent of gold-and-scarlet armored warriors adorned head-to-toe in magnificent armor marched towards the gates, chanting in-unison. These mysterious warriors were never named in the films, however in official lore they are known as The Easterlings. The Easterling's story goes deeper than this singular scene though, and extends right up to one of the most powerful Nazgul of The Nine.
