Saros Is Housemarque's Next Game After Returnal
Saros is Housemarque's next game after Returnal and its set to arrive on PS5 in 2026. While it looks a lot like Returnal, it looks to be a new game set on the planet of Carcosa that is "under the threat of an ominous eclipse." Players will take on the role of Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli), who is a "powerful Soltari Enforcer searching for answers on a lost off-world colony."
There will be "permanent progression systems," and "every death reshapes the world while offering new upgrades to overcome challenges."
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time
Alongside a new gameplay trailer, Konami has confirmed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on August 28, 2025. There will also be an Ape Escape collaboration and potentially more crossovers yet to be revealed.
Borderlands 4 Release Date Confirmed
Borderlands 4 will officially be released on September 23, 2025. To celebrate the release date, Gearbox shared a brand-new gameplay trailer that gives another look at the much-anticipated sequel. Furthermore, there will be a Borderlands 4-themed State of Play arriving later this spring.

While Onimusha: Way of the Sword won't be released until 2026, Capcom stopped by the State of the Play to help with the wait with a new gameplay trailer that shows off the game's new protagonist, the historic swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.
Warriors: Abyss Is a New Roguelite Launching Today on PS5 and PS4
Dynasty Warriors is getting a roguelite spin-off called Warriors: Abyss that will be released today on both PS5 and PS4. There will be randomly generated stages and items, choices that will make you stronger, and so much more.
In this game that will combine the "exhilirating feeling of 1 vs. 1,000 action with roguelite elements," there will be over 100 unique characters and over "16 billion combinations" of ways to play by choosing seven of 100 characters each run.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a new entry in the beloved franchise that will launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 29, 2025. Joe Musashi is "struck by tragedy" and embarks on a "quest for vengeance." While it isn't a Metroidvania, players will unlock abilities that will let them explore hidden paths and discover secrets, which should add to the replayability.

Supermassive Games' Directive 8020 will be released on October 2, 2025, and will bring together "sci-fi exploration with spine-chilling horror, where every choice could lead to a disatrous death."
Directive 8020 takes place aboard the Cassiopeia and sees our characters searching for a new home as Earth is dying. This ship is kind of like a survey ship, but things sadly go anything but smoothly as the crew wakes from a four-year hyper sleep to "a hull breach, a murder, and some extremely suspicious crew activity - all of which culminates in the ship crash landing on the planet." Oh, and there will be an alien organism that can transform into any character, so that's great!
