The world of Futurama is an exaggerated one. Even beyond the typically absurd limitations of the sci-fi genre, the show has embraced a surreal, silly, and quietly dark perspective on life and the cosmos. Much of the show balances very human elements with very absurd characters, turning crustacean doctors into walking tragedies and transforming a Spock parody into a badass.
