In celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Marvel has been releasing a series of one-shots exploring the lead-up to the events of the film from multiple perspectives. The final one-shot in the series, Marvel's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi - Max Rebo #1, is a quieter story that takes readers back to where the miniseries began. Daniel José Older's writing, Paul Fry's art, Carlos Lopez's coloring, and VC's Travis Lanham's lettering all create a poignant look at the events of Jabba's Palace from Max Rebo's point of view as he contemplates his own mortality.
