Jonathan Majors was approached on the street and shared that he was "heartbroken" over the reveal that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom in the MCU. Furthermore, he still loves Kang the Conqueror and would return as the villain if that's what the fans and Marvel would want.

TMZ spoke to Majors, who Marvel cut ties with after he was found guilty of assault and harassment, and he shared a few words on the big news that Downey's Doctor Doom would be taking his place as the MCU's next big villain.

"Yeah, heartbroken," Majors said about how he was feeling after the reveal. "Of course, I love him. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked though."

He was then asked about Downey and Ezra Miller's criminal history and how he felt that they were given chances to return to Hollywood despite that.

"I think it's fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love and that Mr. Miller has gotten the same treatment and that they're being allowed to work their art and be creative at that level," he responded. "I didn't really get that."

"Yeah, heartbroken. Of course, I love him. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked though.

Lastly, he was asked if he would want to return as Kang the Conqueror in the future.

"Kang? Hell yeah, hell yeah, hell yeah. I love him. That's what I said, I love him. I love Kang, I love [Victor] Timely, I love He Who Remains. Love him. If that's what the fans want. If that's what Marvel wants, let's roll. yeah."

Majors was arrested on March 25, 2023, for charges of strangulation, assault, and harrassment after a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. After a few delays, Majors was found guilty of the two counts of assault and harassment and was acquitted of the charges of intentional assaults in the third degree and aggravated assault in the second degree. Majors plead not guilty to all accounts.

He avoided jail time but was sentenced to a year of counseling. Additionally, Majors' attorneys said, "we are optimistic that Mr. Majors will work in the film industry again soon." He was set to star in Magazine Dreams from the Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures, but the studio quietly sold the rights to the film and chose not to release it. He may soon have his first way back, however, as Majors was recently cast in Martin Villeneuve's Merciless.

As for Downey's Doctor Doom, he will be the villainous star of May 2026's Avengers: Doomsday (which was previously known as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty) and 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars, which will be directed by Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame's the Russo brothers.
