The Tomb is an Outer Room that is home to many secrets in Blue Prince. You’ll need to solve its primary puzzle on your path to reaching Room 46.

Inside, you’ll find remnants of the Sinclair legacy, stone coffins, and candles (both lit and unlit), but most suspicious of all, you’ll find angel statues spread around the crypt, which you can interac with. After you interact with one of the angel statues, its arm will lower and raise — indicating these statues must be a puzzle inside the Tomb.

Here’s how to solve the Tomb puzzle in Blue Prince along with some of the additional secrets you can find in the room.

How to solve the Tomb puzzle in Blue Prince

After you enter the Tomb and see the angel statues, they may seem a bit familiar. If you’ve looked around the Chapel, you may have noticed seven stained glass windows with each containing an image of one of the angel statues found inside the Tomb. At the bottom of these windows, you’ll find a number from one through seven, indicating the angel statue order.

To save you some time and steps, we’ve listed the angel statue order along with an image gallery of their appearances below:

  1. Gardener – Rimmed hat and a hoe
  2. Chef – Chef hat and a pizza peel
  3. Farmer – Cowboy hat and a rake
  4. Chimney Sweep – Top hat and a brush
  5. Maid – Bonnet and a broom
  6. Jockey – Riding helmet and a racing whip
  7. Queen – Crown and a scepter

After you’ve interacted with each angel statue in the order listed above, you’ll uncover a secret pathway leading to the Catacombs. Inside, you’ll find another angel statue, albeit a little more grim than the others, which will open another path to the Abandoned Mine after you interact with it.

The Tomb is still home to many more secrets — which we’ve outlined below — but be aware there will be a lot of spoilers to follow from here on out!

[Ed. note: Spoilers follow for Blue Prince.]

Additional Tomb secrets in Blue Prince

There are two additional puzzles found inside the Tomb in Blue Prince: the ruby socketed candlesticks and natural order of Angel Statues.

After reading Drafting Strategy Volume 4, you’ll learn about ruby socketed candlesticks, which will trigger a mechanical reaction when lit. Their locations are relatively unknown, but two sets of the candlesticks can be found inside the Tomb and its up to you to find what is hidden behind their mechanical triggers.

The Angel Statues were used to open the Catacombs, but after you’ve completed the map pin puzzle and read Herbert Sinclair’s will, you learn that there is another natural order that you must uncover to learn more secrets.

We’ll break down the solutions to both puzzles below.

How to light the candles in the Tomb

As you explore the tomb, you’ll find two sets of ruby socketed candlesticks, which both hide a secret pathway. To light the candles, you’ll need to combine a magnifying glass and a metal detector to create the Burning Glass. Alternatively, you can buy the Torch from the Armory, which is only available if you’ve chosen the Knight’s Power.

Once you have either the Burning Glass or Torch, light both sets of candles on the ruby socketed candlesticks to reveal an Upgrade Disk, a Mora Jai puzzle box, an Erajan letter, and Lady Epsen’s Diary Key.

What is the Ajeran Angels natural numerical order?

After you’ve completed the map pin puzzle in Room 46, you’ll find Herbert Sinclair’s will and testament, which will briefly talk about the natural numeric order of the Ajeran Angels: Orinda, Lydia, Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, and Draxus.

As there is another order for the angel statues, you’ll need to interact with each angel statue again, but this time, following their natural numeric order. However, if you don’t know the name of each angel statue, it’ll be impossible to figure out the correct order.

Each angel’s name can be found in a variety of locations around the house, such as notes, books, miniature statues, and even lunch boxes. To save you some time, we’ve listed the names of each angel statue along with an image gallery of their appearances in the natural numeric order below:

  1. OrindaQueen angel statue with a crown and scepter.
  2. LydiaJockey angel statue with a riding helmet and racing whip.
  3. RynnaGardener angel statue with a rimmed hat and hoe.
  4. JoyaChef angel statue with a chef hat and pizza peel.
  5. DaujaFarmer angel statue with a cowboy hat and rake.
  6. VeiaChimney Sweep angel statue with a top hat and a brush.
  7. MilaMaid angel statue with a bonnet and a broom.
  8. DraxusSkeleton reaper statue with a scythe found in the Catacombs.

After interacting with each angel statue in the natural numeric order, the wall behind the Draxus statue will rise revealing the eighth stained glass window and the original manuscripts of “The Red Prince” and “A New Clue.”
